Bremner’s Blueberry Ice Cream

This ice cream made with Bremner's frozen organic blueberries is a sweet and delicious treat for a hot summer day. Its fruity yet creamy flavour profile is sure to please everyone in the family. Slightly sweet and made with all-natural blueberries, this is a dessert that you will never get tired of!

  • Ice cream maker
  • 2 cups frozen Bremner's blueberries
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  1. In a medium saucepan, mix together blueberries and sugar.

  2. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the blueberries are soft and the mixture is thickened, about 10 minutes.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream, milk, cornstarch, and vanilla extract.

  4. Slowly add the cream mixture to the blueberry mixture, whisking constantly.

  5. Bring the mixture to a simmer, whisking constantly, until the mixture is thick and creamy, about 5 minutes.

  6. Remove from heat and cool completely, about 30 minutes.

  7. Pour the cooled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.

  8. Serve immediately, or transfer to a freezer-friendly container and freeze for up to 2 weeks. Enjoy!
