Roasted Carrot Fries
Incredibly easy to make, this recipe for carrot fries is crispy, sweet and packed with Vitamin A. It's also super easy to make and oh, so delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 pound carrots about 5 - 6 medium carrots
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp salt add an extra ½ tsp if you like your fries a bit more salty
- 1/2 tsp dried herbs example: thyme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Wash and peel the carrots.
- Cut the carrots lengthwise into matchsticks. We recommend cutting them in half lengthwise and then cutting into thirds.
- Add carrots sticks to a medium sized mixing bowl.
- Cover in olive oil and toss to coat.
- Sprinkle salt over carrots and toss again. If you are using additional herbs this is the time to add them.
- Arrange carrots evenly on a baking dish. Make sure they are not too close together.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove baking sheet from the oven and flip the carrots using tongs.
- Bake another for 8 - 12 minutes until lightly browned and just a bit soft in texture.
- Serve with ketchup or mayo for dipping.
