Rules for Community Engagement for Social Media

We welcome dialogue, disagreements and learning moments using The Sweet Potato’s digital and social media space, but we insist that online users have the same customer service experience here as they experience in-store. That means we wish to keep social media and digital spaces safe for our users and the broader community.  This is not the appropriate venue for heated personal debate about individual diet and lifestyle choices. Violent language, threats, and personal attacks won’t be tolerated here any more than they would be in person, and individuals who express themselves in that manner will be banned from engaging here.

Denying Service In the Store

If customers behave in an aggressive, belligerent or otherwise threatening manner while in-store or as they try to enter, we have the right to withhold service.

We can have dialogue, disagreements and learning moments at The Sweet Potato, but at the end of the day, we insist that guests and staff have a safe experience in-store. That means we wish to keep this space safe for our staff, customers, and the broader community.  This is not the appropriate venue for heated personal debate about individual diet and lifestyle choices. Violent language, threats, and personal attacks won’t be tolerated here, and individuals who express themselves in that manner will be denied service.
